The Cancellations Tour Log - Day 6

Day 6 was a fun show at the iconic Milestone Club in Charlotte, NC (a very punk rock venue).

Sleep the night before was meh, but not terrible. There was a gym at the hotel so I got in a quick workout before we hit the road.

I had the first leg of the drive to Charlotte, it was a pretty easy drive there overall. We stopped at a grocery store for the bathrooms and to grab some food. It was nice to not get gas station food.

Load in to the venue was an easy one with the stage door being right next to where we could briefly park. We had plenty of time ahead of the gig so we got some food and shot part 3 of our music video.

We set up for the shoot and were all standing in a small space together to frame our shot when I let what I thought would have been a tiny harmless fart slip. Boy was I wrong…. Everyone yelled, “oh god who farted”, as I tried to keep mostly composed, but as I smelled the horror that escaped the depth of my bowels I had a sly grin on my face and started laughing hard. Now remember, I’m with some heavy farters and had been getting farted out a few times already, so I really didn’t feel too bad, but the travesty of foul stench in that small room smoked everyone out and we had to switch rooms, lol. At least Dan seemed proud of me, and I now hold the fart record. Ellie was mad that I didn’t hold it until the camera was running so we could have captured the reaction, lol. We’ll see if I can be topped in the days we have left…

All of the bands we played with were cool and we had a good time hanging. I hit it off with a couple of guys in the first band, Jackson Fig, as we nerded out over guitar pedals and gear.

We didn’t get an early sound check, so it was a throw and go situation when our set time came around. We had a great show regardless of a few weird sound issues and a smaller crowd of mostly other band members. All in all another great stop on the tour.

We planned on going out after, but once we got back to the hotel we just wanted to chill and were in bed around 2:30am.
