The Cancellations Tour Log - Day 4

Day 4 at The Tin Roof in Charleston, SC was an awesome show for a Monday night.

We started the day off low on sleep. I’m not sure if I even fell asleep on the shitty pull out couch. I almost just spooned with Dan so that we could both maybe be more comfortable. We headed out for breakfast and ended up having to go back to the hotel and walk because we couldn’t find anywhere to park with the trailor, but the delicious bougie breakfast place made up for it.

We spent the rest of the morning at the Savanah river walk strolling around before our short drive to Charleston.
We decided our cover of Save Your Tears wasn’t getting received as well as hoped so we called an audible and swapped it out for a Cranberries song that we learned on the car ride to the venue and our only time running it was at sound check. Fortunately it went super well and the crowd loved it!

Before the set we did a quick shoot for a new music video. Sleep deprivation started to set in hard for everyone after we got all setup, so I had to take a quick nap in the car before we played. After an hour I felt pretty refreshed and tagged out with Dan for him to have a twack nap too.

The other bands were awesome and the crowd, albeit a smaller audience, was really into the music. We played our best set yet and all felt dialed in. We sold a bunch of merch too! Ellie also ended up knowing the bartender from her days in Chicago, so random. They treated us well and we headed out to stay with our local host, Laurlyn, a singer/songwriter that Ellie met and befriended on Tik Tok. She was an awesome host and it was so cool to actually meet her in person! We all got a good nights sleep and were in bed by 2AM this time which is more my speed.

Momentum is strong heading into the week.
