2024 is off to an exciting start! I have news that I feel I can confidently share now… I'll be closing on a house at the end of February and it's such a great find! I had been wanting to buy a house for over a year now, but was only able to start realistically looking in the last few months. Fortunately the process has gone amazingly well, and this is a gigantic step in being able to more regularly put out music and content.
You may have noticed that my social media and content for the last single and in general has been, well, very much lacking. Part of this is because I've been incredibly focused on finding a house. Another was getting the winter blues and being really bummed about how expensive houses are thinking I wouldn't find anything worthwhile. I had big plans for a lot of content for Got The Time, and in the end with the song being about what it is, I didn't want to put myself in that place again. It was important that I made the song, I'm incredibly proud of it, and now that it's done and out there I want to be detaching from it, and I'm moving on.
However distracted and depressed I may have been the past couple months, at this point, I'm so trained in keeping things going that I've still been working on my next single in the background and plan to start mixing in February! I'm looking to release that in the late spring/early summer and do a few regional shows around that time as well. I'm submitting to several regional festivals, fingers crossed they like modern grunge/alt rock!!
Plus, in the end the hard work and emotional effort of it all was worth it because I now will have a house to build out a studio and continue creating even more. I'll be able to build an environment with minimal friction to start working. A space that's inspiring, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, you know, a whole vibe. A place where I won't have to worry about being self conscious of people hearing how I'm practicing a guitar or vocal part.
I'm excited for all of the things that come with home ownership too as I'm the type to enjoy getting involved with the care and maintenance of things. I'm totally ready for all of it. I'm ready to make a place my own.
2024 has great things to come. I'm working on getting more comfortable setting up a camera more often so you can see what I'm working on especially with all of the upcoming work on the house.

I figured out how to do an amazing pop cover in the style of another pop song but with my own groovy riff thrown in there (and distorted guitars of course). You won't want to miss it!!
